Confession time: it’s never been my dream to live in a tent. Camping isn’t my preference. But I needed a short-term, inexpensive place to live while a family member battled cancer. As soon as I spotted the Craigslist post for a rental yurt in Denver backyard, I knew I found my new home. Competition was fierce, but the landlord chose me. I lived there from August-November.
